OBJECTIVE
The client wanted to secure mortgage finance to build the extension they required for their growing family
SOLUTIONS
The family preferred the extension option rather than moving home because their home was in the catchment area for their school and they liked living there.
They were shown mortgage options by our mortgage partner Liddle Perrett to extend the mortgage to build their extension.
The extension added value to the property of at least the value of the additional borrowing.
ADDING VALUE
The clients were shown options to extend their borrowing to invest in three buy-to-let properties.
The additional income from these investments was sufficient to cover the cost of all of the additional borrowing on a repayment basis, so the whole exercise was self-financing.
